Britta Francisco is an artist and photographer whose work celebrates love, light, and the quiet beauty of human connection. Her creative story began in childhood, inspired by her father — also an artist — who hosted Sunday art days at home. Together they painted, dreamed, and made heartfelt greeting cards to mail to friends and family. From those cherished days, Britta fell in love with the joy of creating personalized artistic greeting and sharing it through the mail.

She later studied fine art and photography in Florence, Italy, where she absorbed the romance of color, texture, and timeless expression. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography, Britta blended her painter’s soul with a photographer’s eye — capturing emotion, light, and life’s fleeting beauty.

Now based in Los Angeles, California, Britta paints in oils, acrylics, and watercolor, and photographs the poetic moments that make everyday life shine. Her work carries the warmth of California sunshine, the depth of Italian artistry, and the heart of those early Sunday art days with her dad.

Through Joy from LA, Britta continues that lifelong tradition — spreading joy one letter at a time. Each month, she sends a piece of her art or photography as a tangible reminder that beauty still arrives by mail.
